The neo-retro offering is available in two variants with the same paint schemes

Yamaha India launched the FZ-X in India last week. Priced at Rs 1,16,800 onwards, the FZ-X is available in three colours: Matt Copper, Matt Black and Metallic Blue. All three colours cost the same and are available for both the Standard and the Bluetooth variant. So which one should you go for? Well, here’s us simplifying it for you.

Matt Copper

Of the three, the Matt Copper paint scheme is probably the loudest, and if you want to seek attention, this is the shade for you. It complements the overall bodywork draped in black very well and Yamaha has made sure to paint the mock radiator shrouds in the same colour as the other components (black), contrary to the remaining two paint schemes. Moreover, the alloys also receive a neat rim tape in the same colour.

Matt Black

Black on any motorcycle usually doesn’t go wrong. However, a good matte finish is somewhat tough to pull off. But the Yamaha FZ-X’s Matt Black is rather neat. Contrasting the dark colour are the brushed aluminium mock radiator shrouds and the footpeg assembly. Even the silver badging on the black painted fuel tank sits very well. Overall, this paint scheme gives the Yamaha FZ-X quite a stealth look.

Metallic Blue

Of the entire colour palette for the FZ-X, the Metallic Blue is the most accentuating. The bright coloured fuel tank sports a racy and retro “01” livery, bumping up the aesthetics even more. The tan seat cover too pops up and adds to the contrast scheme. Similar to the Matt Copper, this paint scheme also gets a rim tape on the black alloys.
