-
The launch might happen sometime this week
TVS has teased the launch of the 2025 Ntorq 125 Super Squad Edition, with what looks to be an updated version of the current Captain America-themed variant. The edition, originally introduced in 2020 as part of the Super Squad lineup and still currently on sale - will get updated graphics.
A Nod To The Superhero’s Origins
The existing TVS NTorq 125 Super Squad Edition Captain America (a mouthful, please TVS - start making your names shorter) comes in Combat Blue colour, paying homage to the Marvel superhero introduced in 1941. It gets a ‘Captain’s Shield’ graphic on the apron’s side panels, along with the number 41 decal - a reference to the hero’s debut year. The design is rounded off with a colour combination of blue, white, and red, resembling Captain America’s iconic costume and shield.
What’s Different This Time?
The new teased version of the scooter also looks to have stars referencing ranks in the army, the year ‘1941’ written across it and a military green colour or graphics. In addition to this, TVS has released another teaser stating ‘Play Smart, Play Epic’ - and we think the scooter could be introduced into the BGMI (Battle Grounds Mobile India) mobile game (also known as PUBG).

Engine
The Super Squad uses the TVS NTorq 125 Race Edition as its base, using the same 124.8cc, air-cooled, 3-valve, single-cylinder engine. This makes 9.5PS at 7,000 rpm, 10.6Nm at 5,500 rpm, and is mated to an automatic gearbox.

Underpinnings
The TVS NTorq 125 has an underbone tubular steel frame, telescopic fork, monoshock, 12-inch alloy wheels with a 100-section front and 110-section rear tyre - both tubeless. It gets a 220mm front petal disc and a rear 130mm drum brake - with ‘SBT’ (Sync Braking Technology), which is TVS’ fancy name for CBS (Combined Braking System). It has an 111kg kerb weight, 5.8-litre fuel tank, 155mm ground clearance, 770mm seat height, and 20 litres of underseat storage.

Features
This TVS scooter gets all-LED lighting and an LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, voice commands, caller ID, call/SMS alerts, ride stats, last parked location - all via the TVS SmartXonnect app.

Rivals
This TVS NTorq 125 rivals other sporty 125cc scooters like the Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid, Suzuki Avenis 125, Hero Xoom 125, and the recently launched Aprilia SR 125 hp.e.

Expected Pricing
The current Super Squad Editions are priced at Rs 98,117 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and the refreshed 2025 Captain America Edition of the scooter is expected to cost around the same. With TVS having dropped teasers, the official launch of the refreshed Captain America Edition is expected soon.

- Awesome to ridePurchased the scooty in feb 2026 and so far have driven nearly 3500 kms. The scooty is awesome to ride, easy to handle, and easy to maintain. One can expect mileage of 40-41 kmpl in city. Seat and suspension is on a stiffer side but one can get aftermarket foam seats to make the rides comfortable. Awesome ride for daily commute.Read More
