The much talked about TVS Apache 200 that has been doing continuous rounds on Internet these days is now into headlines again. The bike recently got teased on the company’s Indonesian website with the tagline “Uncover the bike. Uncover the racer in you”. TVS has also started a campaign alongside in which a user has to click on the share button and he can get a chance to be amongst the first few to ride the bike on Sentul International Circuit in Indonesia.

As told earlier, TVS Apache 200 will come powered by a 200cc, air-cum-oil cooled engine that will come linked to a five-speed transmission. As per some reports, the motor is the modified version of the RTR 180’s engine with a high scale of refinement and low NVH level. The engine is expected to generate 25.6bhp of power and 22Nm of torque. With this, the flagship is expected to make the best-in-class power and beat its closest rival - KTM 200 Duke in terms of acceleration. The Indian version will get 90/90-R17 front and 130/70-R17 rear TVS tyres. As per some speculations, the bike is also expected to get Pirelli tyres along with dual-channel ABS in the premium trim.

Besides the bike’s official teaser, a patented image has also surfaced on Motorbeam, which reveals more details of the machine. From the picture and the spy shots that we shared earlier, the bike seems to carry more aggressive styling than the existing models. The front receives a naked streetfighter appeal along with twin LED DRLs. The instrument console is fully digital comprising of rev-limit indicator, lap timer, clock, gear position display, service reminder and much more. The fuel tank has been extended a little forward than the ordinary and looks inspired by the Draken Concept that was showcased at the previous edition of Auto Expo.

TVS Apache 200 is confirmed for India launch on 20th January and will soon be available in Indonesia after its India debut. The bike is expected to be priced around Rs. 85,000 and will have KTM 200 Duke as its primary rival.
