The TVS Jupiter platform is arguably one of the finest amongst Indian manufacturers in the commuter scooter segment. And for 2021, TVS has added a bigger and better, Jupiter 125 to this. The Jupiter 125 is offered in three variants, and today, we’re telling you all about them to help you pick one:

Drum Brake/ Sheet Metal Wheels
This is the entry ticket into the Jupiter 125 lineup. Priced at Rs 73,400, this variant is the most basic of the lot. As the name gives away, you get sheet metal wheels here (instead of alloy wheels) and 130mm drum brakes at both ends. But the sheet metal wheels look identical to the chunky alloys since they’re painted in black colour, so it doesn't really mar the likeable design. What does somewhat ruin the experience, though, is the basic analogue instrument cluster.
The base variant of the Jupiter 125 comes in two colours: grey and white.

Drum Brake/ Alloy Wheels
This one retails for Rs 76,400. Compared to the base variant, here you get TVS’ new semi-digital instrument cluster and curvy five-spoke alloy wheels. The digital display of the console is packed with information like instantaneous fuel efficiency, distance-to-empty, a helmet reminder, and multiple trip meters, including a reserve km counter.
You get four colours to choose from: orange, purple, grey, and white.

Disc Brake/ Alloy Wheels
At the top of the lineup, we have the disc brake variant. It costs Rs 81,400, which we think is a little steep for the additional bits it offers. The extras include a USB charger, an LED boot light, partially chrome mirrors, and LED DRLs up front, and 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The most obvious change is that this variant gets a 220mm front disc brake up front.
TVS offers the top-spec Jupiter 125 in three colours: orange, purple, and grey.
Our pick:
We reckon the drum brake-alloy wheel variant is the most value for money. It checks all the basic but important boxes, while costing a sizeable Rs 5,000 less than the top variant.

TVS Jupiter 125 User Reviews
- Best family 125CC scooter in IndiaFamily-oriented scooter and comfortable for city rides with soft suspension and reliability of TVS. The Jupiter is itself a very big name in the scooter market for over a decade and provides the complete, balanced package. The scooter is smooth, and the space is more than enough, the only problem is that it doesn't give confidence during overtakes. The service centre experience is also not good, but overall the scooter is a complete package. Yes, 100% to people who are looking for a no-nonsense scooter with comfort and space on daily rides from point A to B with decent power dynamics and a lot of space, and the scooter provides all required features.Read More
- overall reviewOverall best for family use. Features and performance are great, assist works bit laggy, when compared to final model, kicker is good but display experience varies. I take home 1,16700 on 07/07/2026, Trijal motors Bengaluru. Maintenance must be frequent for breaks. Seating capacity is best it holds two helmets. Good for metro cities.Read More2 2
