TVS Apache 180 ABS launched in India

TVS Apache the first choice of youth in India has been launched, today, with ABS (AntiLock Braking System). The new baby of the company TVS Apache 180 ABS is priced at Rs. 78,880 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) and available at selected dealerships across the country. The bike has also the tag of first ABS equipped bike in India leaving behind the Honda CBR 250R which will be launched in the month of April this year; however, the bookings of the former was started in January 2011.

Since a long time, these rumours are airing in the market that TVS Apache 180 will get ABS but now this new bike is presented in front of the customers. The bike got ABS that market it very secure and reliable in terms of security features. The rest features of the baby are same as old variant.

It goes without saying that TVS Apache is the flagship and most popular bike model in India by TVS motors. This is an answer to Bajaj Pulsar model which has same variants as this one. TVS Apache is available in two variants such as TVS Apache RTR 160 and TVS Apache 180. Its 160cc variant is the major competitor of Bajaj Pulsar 150, Hero Honda Hunk, Honda Unicorn and Honda Dazzler.

ABS is the most desirable feature in all the entry-level sports and thy system is an integration of a HECU (Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit) and Independent Wheel Speed Sensors which help when a wheel is likely to get locked. When the brakes are applied hard, the wheel tends to lock.

TVS Apache was launched in 2007 and since launch the bike is continuously doing well in Indian two-wheeler market. This Apache 180 is the high-end variant of this model that is getting much popularity here. This Top-end variant of the bike is powered by a 177.4cc, Single Cylinder, Four Stroke, petrol engine with five speed manual transmission that delivers 17.3PS of maximum power and 15.5Nm of maximum torque that help to get excellent acceleration and performance. The bike has large Patel disc brake at front and rear board wheel. While design and body appearance is pretty attractive that make it heart beat of youth.
