Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited (SMIL) has commenced the official bookings for its upcoming motorcycle- Gixxer. The company hasn't announced any price and launch date of the bike yet. However, the streetfighter is expected to be launched this month with a price tag of around Rs. 75,000.

Suzuki Gixxer has been designed for an aggressive appearance with naked sport styling. The masculine fuel tank of the machine has been designed with some very unique curves, which makes it different from others, while the bold headlamp enhances the wildness of the machine. Rear styling of the bike is based on the lines of the legendary GSXR motorcycle series. Most attractive style element of the Gixxer is its sporty 3-split-spoke alloys and 2-in-1 exhaust muffler.

Propelling the new Suzuki Gixxer is an all new lightest 154.9cc, air-cooled motor with SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) technology. Using a carburetor type fuel system, the engine delivers 13.9bhp ± 5% of raw power at 8,000rpm or a maximum power output of 14.64bhp. It can produce torque upto 14Nm at 6,000rpm which can be managed on the rear wheel using its 5-speed manual transmission.

Challenging the Yamaha FZ, Suzuki Gixxer gets a 140/60-17 radial tubeless tyre on the rear wheel and a 100/80-17 tyre on the front wheel. It will come with front disc and rear drum type braking system. It sports muscular telescopic front forks, while the rear gets a mono-shock suspension with swing-arm arrangement. The bike has fully digital instrumentation and it will be made available in 5 sporty colour options- Metallic Oort Grey, Candy Antares Red, Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Triton Blue and Pearl Mirage White.

Impresses On Highways

While the engine impresses on highways, comfort for the pillion might be a concern. Nevertheless, with a commendable mileage exceeding 50 on highways, this 155 cc bike stands out in its class. There's potential for enhancement in safety features, particularly focusing on pedal functionality.Read More

Nearly 23000 km covered 2018 BS4 And Excellent Car

Nearly 23000km covered the 2018 BS4 model. Quality parts are good, I got an accident an year ago with a car surprised that only my leg guard bent and little scratch on a tank. The car bonet was completely has broken. Pros:- 1. Good looking (especially tank size and look) 2. Good quality 3. We can cruise at speed of 65 to 85 on highway if no crosswind (we can go further but use windshield). However, am cruising around 65 to 75 speed in most case. 4. After 1 year, my exhaust sound is better (using motul engine oil, the engine is a little more smooth). 5. Breaking confidence is super (good breaking my bike equipped with dual disc no abs). Cons:- 1. Pillion seat is not good and also back seat and height is high (only zero fig.can sit there). 2. When hard braking rider moving to tank side. 3. The service cost is a little high. So, just buy a product from an authorized center and change yourself or with a local workshop.Read More
