Royal Enfield is all set to launch the Classic 650 in India. The bike is set to be launched tomorrow,  March 27, 2025. The Classic 650 is going to be the most powerful Classic bike in Royal Enfield’s lineup, thanks to the 650cc parallel twin motor. Here is everything that is to be expected from the Classic 650. 

Expected Price And Rivals

The Royal Enfield Classic 650's design looks pretty wholesome compared to the Classic 350 with the chrome elements, twin peashooter exhausts and the bigger engine. Also, Royal Enfield will likely play the history card with this bike as the Classic has been a long standing nameplate in the manufacturer's lineup. As such, the bike is expected to be priced around Rs 3.70 lakh (ex-showroom), which will make it about Rs 6,000 more expensive than the Super Meteor 650. The only other neo-retro roadster in this segment is the BSA Gold Star 650, which will be its only rival.

Design

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 is a beautiful looking retro motorcycle, which uses similar design as the current Classic 350. The motorcycle gets the well known front-end design with the signature tiger-eye headlight and tear drop shaped metal tank. The motorcycle also gets very good build quality which gives it a premium appeal. Thanks to the 650cc motor, the bike looks a lot bigger than the Classic 350 while the beautifully crafted twin pea-shooter exhausts complete the overall look.

Engine

The Classic 650 is powered by the tried and tested 648cc, parallel twin motor which makes 47PS and 52.3Nm. This engine already powers 5 motorcycles in RE’s lineup and is known for its linear power delivery and character. In terms of the tuning, there are no changes but the motorcycle gets a revised gearing thanks to a 19-inch front and an 18-inch rear wheel.

Suspension and Features

The motorcycle handles quite well despite it being one of the heaviest Royal Enfield motorcycles. For a kerb weight of 243kg, it runs quite planted out on the highway and goes round the corners with confidence. It gets a telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers along with a disc brake at both ends with dual channel ABS.

Although the Classic 650 is a retro motorcycle, it still has a decent set of features. It gets an analogue speedometer with a small digital display, tripper navigation pod and a USB charger. Everything is neatly integrated and goes well with the overall design.
