As confirmed by reports, the Ducati Monster 1200 R will be unveiled by Audi-AG-owned Ducati on 14th September, during Volkswagen Group night in Frankfurt, Germany. If sources are to be believed, Ducati's new “Monster 1200 R” would hold the ‘most powerful and muscular machine’ title till now, for the company. Just ahead of it’s official reveal at Frankfurt, the Ducati Monster would be displayed at IAA (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung in Frankfurt am Main).

If we go by the teaser photos, the Ducati Monster 1200 R is presumed to hold the most powerful engine which is estimated to produce 155hp, similar to Ducati’s streetfighter 1098 when it was on the streets. Deducing from the pictures revealed, the Ducati Monster 1200 R will be carrying a semi-active electronic suspension to support sportier chassis, which will be confirmed in a week’s time.

The launch date declared by the company in India is still awaited and the Italian beauty will be missed for a sometime by Indian Bike Fanatics.

The current specifications of the Ducati Monster 1200 S are:

    Engine: 1198cc L-Twin Testastretta 11 degree DS

    Horsepower: 145

    Torque: 124.5Nm

    Gearbox: 6-speed

The Italian manufacturer is expected to inject its “Monster” with more safety features and 8 levels of traction control.
