Komaki Venice Eco Electric Scooter Launched In India At Rs 79,000

Gets a TFT console with navigation & a Lithium Ferro Phosphate battery 

Nearly a month after its prices were revealed, the Komaki Venice Eco has finally been launched in India. The company has priced the e-scooter at Rs 79,000 (ex-showroom India). The biggest talking point about this scooter is that it’ll benefit from Komaki’s new fire-resistant Lithium-ion Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery pack. The company also says that the number of cells is reduced by 1/3rd than a Lithium-ion battery pack, hence reducing the heat generated. For perspective, Ola Electric has also considered using LFP cells in its scooters.

Something that you’ll instantly notice on the Venice Eco is that it retains the retro look as the standard Venice. Compared to the standard Venice, the Eco lacks the crash guard running across the bodywork, the split-style seat, alloy wheels and even the disc brake set-up. Even the storage box behind the pillion is replaced by a backrest. 

The Komaki Venice electric scooter is powered by a 3kW motor and the company claims it can cover between 80-100km on a full charge. The battery can be charged in three-four hours. Underpinnings include 10-inch wheels at both ends with a disc brake up front and a drum unit at the rear.

When it comes to features, the Venice Eco packs a massive third-gen TFT console, displaying real-time navigation, making it the most affordable electric scooter in India to get these features. Also a part of the package are a host of app-based connectivity features along with four riding modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport and Turbo.

With its features and range, the Rs 79,000 (ex-showroom India) price tag makes it sound like a good deal, given its LFP cells and the features it has on offer. While it does miss out on things like a crash guard, alloy wheels, disc brakes and more, when compared to the standard Venice, it makes up for it by costing nearly Rs 71,000 lesser! It, hence goes up against the likes of the Hero Electric Optima, Okinawa Okhi90 and BGauss D15.
