Kawasaki Has Launched The Updated Ninja 500 In India

The Ninja 500 now gets updated graphics and slightly changed body panels

Quick Highlights

  • Kawasaki has updated the Ninja 500 for 2025

  • The bike gets redesigned body panels

  • Gets a price hike of Rs 5,000

Kawasaki has launched the updated Ninja 500 at Rs 5,29,000 (ex-showroom), which is Rs 5,000 more expensive than the previous model. The bike gets slightly redesigned side panels along with a new colour option and revised graphics.

Design

The Kawasaki Ninja 500 borrows design inspiration from its bigger siblings with subtle touches. The new updated Ninja 500 gets a redesigned side panel with green ascent.

Engine

The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 500 gets the same 451cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine producing 45PS and 42.6Nm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine provides smooth acceleration, it is very tractable and loves to be revved.

Underpinnings

The bike gets a steel trellis frame and the suspension setup consists of a 41mm telescopic fork with 120mm wheel travel and a gas-charged monoshock shock with 130mm of travel with preload adjustability. The rear set footpegs provide a somewhat commanding riding posture but the high clip-on handlebars balance it out to make the bike a capable sports tourer.

Brakes and Wheels

The bike gets 320mm disc at the front and 240mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS as standard. It sits on 17-inch wheels at both ends with 110-section front and 150-section rear tyres. The Ninja 500 has a wheelbase of 1,375mm, ground clearance of 145mm, seat height of 785mm and a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres.

Features

The bike gets a 5-inch LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity. Other features include a slip-and-assist clutch but the bike misses out on rider aids like traction control and riding modes.

The Kawasaki Ninja 500’s price tag has always been expensive compared to its rivals like the Aprilia RS 457. And the Japanese bike offers less features and rider aids compared to the Italian supersport. With the price hike for the 2025 model without any updates to the features and hardware department has made the bike even less appealing than before, that too when the entire segment is starting to fill up with feature-rich bikes at competitive prices.

My neighbour have one and I also ride it on Sunday rides. Overall nice bike with the brand value of Kawasaki. Chlate time jb log dhekte h tab feel ate h koi superbike he chla rhe h 😂😂. Once Mount Abu Ride pr lekr gya tha kafi maza aya chla kr. Bike ki breaking kafi aachi hai. Bike comfortable h like R3 ke jaise haat dhukne nhi ate isme. Sitting posture normal sporty hai. Chaprio jaise nhi chlane pdte.Read More
