Jawa has finally started accepting bookings for its eagerly awaited Perak, on its website for Rs 10,000, fully refundable. The bike is priced at Rs 1,94,500 (ex-showroom Delhi), which makes it Rs 30,500 more expensive than the standard Jawa, and deliveries are slated to begin on April 2, 2020.
If you are willing to part with that extra cash for the factory custom bobber, you better get moving. Jawa is accepting limited bookings at the moment, to ensure that deliveries are timely.
Powering the Perak is a bored-out version of the 293cc single-cylinder engine from the Jawa and the Forty Two. The liquid-cooled DOHC motor now produces 30.4PS and 31Nm from its 334 cubic centimetres. This is also the first BS6-compliant Jawa to go on sale, so hopefully there won’t be price hikes anytime soon.
