TVS’ new teaser suggests that the brand is brewing something seemingly electrifying

TVS Indus - New TVS Teaser Revealed: New TVS Electric Scooter Or Battery Plan?

    Quick Highlights:

    • New TVS teaser revealed

    • It might be the name for the new upcoming electric scooter or a battery plan service

    • More information to follow soon

TVS Motor Company recently dropped a teaser on its social media handle, featuring the name “Indus.” While the teaser gives little away, the tagline mentions “Where Ideas Go Places”. This, along with the blue-coloured theme of the teaser suggests that it could either be a name for the company’s brand-new electric scooter or something even more foundational - like a battery or energy-related initiative.

    New E-Scooter?

The timing of the teaser aligns well with what TVS CEO K N Radhakrishnan mentioned in May 2025, that the company’s next-generation EVs were in the final stages of development and are slated for launch somewhere in July to September 2025. That adds weight to the theory that ‘Indus’ could be the name of an all-new electric scooter. We think that this new model will likely sit below the current iQube lineup, with basic features, smaller battery capacity, at a more accessible price point.

    Or New Batteries?

But there’s another angle to consider. Lately, manufacturers have been exploring BaaS (Battery As A Service), and it could be possible that the upcoming TVS electric scooter will have a removable battery pack, and the battery will be sold via the BaaS scheme. Hence, the name “TVS Indus” could be used for that service.

In fact, this is something which we already previewed with the TVS Vision iQube concept, showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo (Auto Expo 2025). That scooter came equipped with a fixed 3.4kWh battery and optional removable 1kWh packs, claiming a total range of up to 200km.

Whether it’s a new scooter or something related to battery tech, we’ll know for sure in the coming weeks.
