Jawa recently teamed up with the Indian Navy and organised a ride called #RideToGiveBack to the seven north-eastern states of the country. Under this initiative, 35 riders from the Indian Navy rode from Guwahati, covering 3,500km in 25 days. This isn’t the first time a manufacturer has partnered with the Armed Forces. Back in 2017, Royal Enfield had partnered with NSG Commandos for an 8,000-km ride under the theme ‘Fight Against Terror’. The commandos rode the Royal Enfield Classic 500 Stealth Black, which later went on sale. The bike was sold out in 15 seconds!
Coming back to Jawa’s initiative, here’s the brand’s press release:

Indian Navy rides Jawa motorcycles; 3500kms across the North Eastern states

New Delhi/ Guwahati, November 26th 2019: Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd., manufacturer of Jawa motorcycles, recently partnered with the Indian Navy on its #RideToGiveBack programme. A team of 35 Navy personnel, both men and women riders, led by Rear Admiral P.G. Philipose, rode 3,500 kms to the Northeastern region. The riders were on a quest to meet and inspire the youth from schools and colleges of the entire region and raise awareness about the Indian Navy as well as national unity.
During the 25-day grueling ride, the motorcyclists visited Tawang, Bumla Pass, Kohima, Agartala, Shillong, Cherrapunji, Kaziranga and Imphal, exploring these remote and exotic locales which tested the mettle of both man and machine. The Jawa riders were flagged off from the Jawa dealership in Guwahati.
Jawa takes great pride in its #ForeverHeros campaign launched in support of the Indian armed forces. As a part of the #ForeverHeros campaign Jawa donated the proceeds amounting to Rs 1.5 crores from the auction of their first 13 motorcycles to the Armed Forces Flag Day fund, which is dedicated to the welfare of children of the martyrs of the armed forces. Jawa has also contributed to the reconstruction of a community hall for the families of the martyrs of the Kargil conflict in Leh.

This partnership with the Indian Navy also falls under the ambit of #ForeverHeros and #RideToGiveBack initiative of the Jawa Motorcycles. Jawa believes that the efforts made by the intrepid navy men to reach out the youth of Northeastern India will increase their awareness and will have a hugely positive effect on the future lives of the youth in the North East.

- Jawa 350 StandardThe bike was good but the service is not good as they say everything as manufacturing defect. But has a great torque. The best thing for the bike is the seating comfortablity which is top notch. Also the bike doesn't heat up as some other 350cc bikes. Coming to mileage, it is just 24-27Kmpl which is not I expected.Read More6 2

- Jawa 350 is suitable for meJawa 350 Standard is a bike that can be referred to as timeless as all the features it possesses. The Indian market has a healthy appetite for motorcycles, especially those that are retro styled. With a 350cc engine, it provides suitable power and relief for the city or for highways and anywhere in between. There might be some riders who think that its handling and technological aspects are not on par with those of the current generation. Anyway, if timeless designs coupled with functionality are your cup of tea, then the Jawa 350 Standard may be suitable for you.Read More2 1
- An absolute pleasure to rideI am very excited to have ridden Jawa 350. It is an absolute pleasure to ride. When I get on the bike it takes me back in time and takes me down memory lane. When I start the engine I enjoy a great sound and fast forward motion and the brakes are awesome. I feel very confident driving it. I can't describe this feeling in words. You have to ride it to feel it.Read More1 1
