Honda may launch new 'VFR 1200F' on 2th August 2010

Japan's based two-wheeler manufacturer, Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India (HMSI) may launch its new sports tourer " Honda Vfr " on 2th August 2010. The company has already introduced their two heavyweight superbikes, called as Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade and the CB1000R Street-Fighter. Honda is now going to launch one other heavyweight motorcycle, which will be known as Honda VFR1200F. The new VFR 1200F would be powered by massive liquid cooled 76 degree, V-4, SOHC, Four valve per cylinder with a displacement of 1237cc.

The awesome powertrain of VFR 1200F pumps out a maximum power of 170 bhp at 10,000 rpm while belts out a peak torque of 129 Nm at 8750 rpm. It has also got six speed transmission with optional dual clutch transmission. “The VFR1200F has been developed in keeping with previous VFRs; that have delivered a combination of sports and touring capabilities using the latest technologies,” says official release from HMSI. The new Honda VFR 1200F will be imported as completely built unit(CBU) in India, which will get 110 percent import duty featuring a price tag of around Rs 20 to 30 lakh.

The new bike will attract the new generation youngers, who are really wants to get a super-luxury bike. Meanwhile, another major two-wheeler manufacturers are also planning to introduce their new high-end capacity motorcycles in the Indian market including Suzuki Gladius, Kawasaki Ninja 650R, BMW K1300s, Yamaha Yzf R6 and Ktm Rc8.
