Honda CBR 250R the most popular semi-sports bike by Honda immediately and officially gets space on the Honda Two wheeler's website. Along with that it is also claiming to deliver the booked bikes from 14th April 2011.

 

The 2011 Honda CBR 250R is coming in two variants like non-ABS with price tag of Rs. INR 1.43 Lakhs ABS version is priced INR 1.68 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). So far, above 2000 units of the bike have been booked and Honda is expecting more. The bike has outstanding features and International technology that is supposed to beat first Indian semi-sports bike Kawasaki Ninja 250R which has almost just double price than it.

 

In order to have enough bikes for test rider, the company is delivering 400 units of the bike to Honda dealers across India and buyer can use this innovative bike as a sample via test drive. On the other hand, a surprising news for Pondicherry residential, the base version of Honda CBR 250R will be available at INR 1.37 Lakhs on-road which is lesser than Delhi Ex-showroom price. Meanwhile Bangaloreans would pay INR 1.67 Lakhs for non-ABS version which is maximum than other part of the country.

 

Honda CBR 250R comes loaded with a liquid cooled, 4 stroke, fuel injected, electric start, Si engine while displacement of the bike is 249.6cc that delivers maximum power of 25bhp at 8500 rpm and generate top torque of 22.9Nh at 7000 rpm. The bike has twin spar type frame and looks same as Honda VFR 120F.

These two models of Honda CBR 250 are more than 10 years old in world market, but at the same time other sports bike models like R 15, Kawasaki Ninja 250R etc are much recent models in world market. Price wise Kawasaki Ninja 250 is about double than CBR 250 (Rs.1,50,000) and power wise Honda is on higher side with 45PS when Ninja is 33ps. However after CBR 250 comes to Indian market within Rs.1,50,000 (probably ex. showroom) Kawasaki Ninja has to drop their price. Read More
