So far the year has been fantastic for Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Ltd, the company has already launched 14 bikes out of 15, which the company promised and the next motorcycle in the list is CB Hornet 160R. First teased during the Honda Revfest, CB Hornet will be based on Honda Unicorn platform. It is officially confirmed that the company will launch it on 10th of December this year. This will be the company’s smallest displacement motorcycle from the Hornet’s family. The brand new styling, decent ergonomics and the friendly performance makes it worth to wait for. Here are listing 5 things that will tell you ins and outs of this bike.

As the name suggests, the bike is expected to have Unicorn 160cc engine, but with better tuning. Honda Unicorn 160R is powered by 162.71cc, air-cooled, a single-cylinder engine delivers 14.5 bhp of power with 14.61Nm of torque, but we can expect Hornet 160R to have more power figures. Reportedly, with Hornet 160R, the company will replace Honda CB Trigger, which did not perform well in the market. Honda CB Trigger is powered by standard Unicorn’s 150cc engine with different tuning and has been offered as a premium option to the Unicorn 150.

The new Honda CB Hornet 160R might get fully digital instrument console showcasing speed,  trip meter, fuel meter and the current time. The company might launch it in three trims, one is a standard version with single disc brake, second with dual disc brakes and the third one with CBS.

With its 162.71 cc engine, Honda CB Hornet 160R will rival against Suzuki Gixxer, TVS Apache RTR and the Yamaha FZS-F1, out of these three, Apache RTR will be its toughest competition in terms of performance and features.

The success of any vehicle depends upon the price it is coming with. Honda has not given any hint about the price so far, but it will most likely to get a price tag of somewhere around Rs. 80,000 to 90,000 INR.
