The 160cc sturdy performance motorcycle, Honda CB Hornet 160R, that was recently launched in Goa at a glittering event will be getting an upgrade soon. The speculations of an upgrade is making rounds as the bike lacks an engine kill switch at present and the missing feature was pointed out by a lot of people as almost all bikes in the respective segment come equipped with one. Taking note of the popular demand, Honda felt the need to bring in the engine kill switch into consideration and the upgraded bike could hit the dealerships anytime soon. If some reports are to be believed, the new Hornet will also come with an improved switchgear offering a better fit and finish.

Honda Hornet 160R comes powered by a 162.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The HET (Honda Eco Technology) motor churns out a maximum power of 15.66bhp at 8,500rpm with a peak torque of 14.76Nm at 6,500rpm. The fully digital instrument console that also comes in the CB Unicorn 160 adds to the value of the machine. The CB Hornet 160R has been fitted with petal disc brake with three-pot brake calliper up front and a disc brake at the rear as an optional feature. The 160cc naked street bike rides on 100/70 front and 140/70 rear section tyre.  Other features include a X-shaped tail lamp, aggressive body design and wider rear tyre.

The company has also introduced a mobile app for the CB Hornet with the help of which interested buyers can get its whole outlook right at their fingertips. Moreover, the respective buyers can even book the bike for a token amount of Rs. 5,000. In the initial phase, the bike will be available for sale at the dealerships in 21 Indian cities namely Ahmedabad, Alibag, Bangalore, Bashirhat (Kolkata), Boisar, New Delhi, Chennai, Dehradun, Goa, Hyderabad, Cochin, Indore, Lucknow, Mumbai, Panvel, Kolkata,  Pune, Surat, Thane, Vijaywada and Vizag.

Overall Its a Nice Bike.

Overall bike, maintenance, style, mileage is excellent but the cooling system, carburetor, engine kill switch are the drawbacks in this bike. This should be fixed by the company.

Just love it.

Overall it's a beast bike in this segment. The road grip is superb. The suspension is a little stiffer side but not so much. Just waiting for the BS6 version.
