Hero’s 100cc Commuter Gets Greener, Looks Better

The HF Deluxe has received a couple of updates for a tiny hike in the asking price

The updated Hero HF Deluxe has been launched at Rs 60,760 (ex-showroom Delhi). Hero has updated the 100cc commuter with a cleaner engine and a couple of cosmetic updates. Here’s how much each variant costs now:

What the bike gets for the tiny hike in its asking price are four new colourways: Nexus Blue, Candy Blazing Red, Black with Sports Red, and Heavy Grey with Black. Hero has also given it a new Canvas Black Edition (similar to the Hero Splendor Plus) and it looks rather nice in this all-black avatar. Those looking for something more bright will like the Candy Blazing Red or the Black with Sports Red.

Other nifty updates include a USB charger as an optional add-on. The bike also gets a toe guard, which is essentially a structure on the brake lever to prevent your toe from touching the engine. It now comes with a standard five-year warranty as well as five free services.

The final set of changes include an OBD II-compliant 97.2cc engine that makes 8.02PS and 8.05Nm, both of which have been unchanged. The bike gets two steps of preload adjustability for its shocks. The Splendor Plus, on the other hand, gets five steps for the same. Nothing else has been tinkered with on this tried-and-tested commuter. Given the minimal price hike, the new colours and a cleaner engine are a welcome addition to the otherwise plain design of the HF Deluxe. The Bajaj Platina 100 is the chief rival to the HF Deluxe. For the same price, you can also get yourself the TVS Scooty Pep Plus

Good option for daily uses

It's a good bike for those who use bike on daily basis and it is money saver, gives good mileage in local streets and best average upto 70 kilometers per litre on highway under 70 kilometers per hour speed. If you ride on highway with this bike then it is a best option for the middle class family person and save his money and time after using this bike. All the feature of this bike is satisfactory in compare to a normal bike. Good bike for local riding and maintenance of the bike is too less. I'm using this hf deluxe bike since 2018 and gave me positive response and result is not bad for me and persons who are in my average category person.Read More

City ride with Hf deluxe

I chose the HF Deluxe because it is known for reliability, low maintenance cost, and excellent fuel efficiency, which suits daily commuting needs. Being a product from Hero MotoCorp, it also gives confidence in terms of service network and resale value. The ride so far has been quite smooth and comfortable for city use. The seat is well cushioned and the suspension handles rough roads decently. Mileage is a strong point easily giving around 65 to 70 km per litre which makes it very economical. The bike is lightweight so handling is easy especially in traffic, However speed and power are limited it is not built for aggressive riding On highways it performs okay at moderate speeds 50 to 70 km per hour but feels slightly underpowered if you try to push beyond that. Yes I would definitely recommend this bike to anyone looking for a budget friendly low maintenance daily commuter especially for city rides rather than long highway touring and for office use daily updow Read More

Basic Features

I have been riding my Hero HF Deluxe (2012 Model) for over 13 years now. Even after so much time, the engine is still very reliable and the maintenance cost is extremely low. It is the best bike for daily rough use and still provides great fuel efficiency. Pros:Excellent Mileage: Even after 13 years, it gives amazing mileage on the road. Low Maintenance: Spare parts are cheap and easily available everywhere. Durability: The build quality is very strong; it handles rough roads easily.Engine: Hero's 100cc engine is still smooth and starts in one kick. Cons:Basic Features: It lacks modern features like a digital meter or disc brakes. High Speed: The bike vibrates a bit when crossing 60-70 kmph.Read More
