Harley Street 750 recovered, thief identified as IIT graduate

As we have reported earlier that a man stole Harley Davidson Street 750 motorcycle from its showroom situated at Road number 2, Banjara Hills. The man rode off with test ride motorcycle and never came back. Now the culprit has been identified by Hyderabad police as Turlapati Kiran, an IIT-Madras graduate. The thief has been tracked down with the help of call details and CCTV camera footage. 

A 27 years old Kiran is currently working as an executive engineer with the ONGC offshore site located at Mumbai. The police caught him on Thursday night in Mumbai, after receiving information that bike rode off towards Mumbai.

Earlier, the culprit entered the showroom with the fake name Taher Ali for taking a trial run but never returned back. He stole Harley Davidson Street 750 motorcycle worth around Rs 5 lac.

The bike is equipped with 749 cc 2-cylinder Liquid-cooled Revolution X V-twin engine that delivers 47.7 PS of maximum power and 59 Nm of peak torque mated to 6-speed gearbox. It generates a mileage of nearly 17 kmpl. Stylish looks are enhanced by Black, 7-spoke cast Aluminum wheels and available in three color options. The features and specs of Harley Davidson Street 750 motorcycle include 3.5 Inch Electronic Speedometer, 2-up Seat with Passenger Footage, Mid-Mount Controls, Easy Lock-to-Lock handlebar Sweep, Single Disc brake with Dual Piston Caliper and Tuned Shock absorbers.
