Harley-Davidson X440 Custom Scrambler Teased, To Be Unveiled At IBW 2023
The custom bike will come with a new subframe and other modifications that makes it more suited to trail riding
Harley-Davidson India took to social media to tease an upcoming custom scrambler based on the Harley-Davidson X440 that will be unveiled at India Bike Week 2023. It will be the first officially modified Harley-Davidson X440. The scrambler will be built by Jaipur-based Rajputana Customs, who have been modifying motorcycles for 14 years and have built over 150 bikes over that time period.

The X440 Scrambler will come with many new changes both to the bike’s overall design and underpinnings. The new design will change the X440’s look and feel, from that of a road bike to that of a Scrambler.
The changes to the bike’s underpinnings include a new aluminum subframe and swingarm that’s suspended on an Ohlins gas-charged monoshock. Additionally the motorcycle also gets an extended inverted fork in the front. The bike also gets block pattern tyres with spoked wheels in the front and rear. With these changes the new bike will also be lighter than the base X440, which weighs 190.5kg kerb.
The teaser hasn’t mentioned anything about changes to the bike’s performance so we expect the X440 Scrambler to be powered by the same 440cc air/oil-cooled 2-valve SOHC single cylinder engine that makes 27.4PS and 39Nm. We’ll be reporting live from the event, so stay tuned!
