Harley-Davidson Electric Scooter Design Leaked

Soon, there will be a Harley-Davidson that we can afford

• The design of the e-scooter stays true to the concept showcased a while back.
• The sketches suggest that it could feature a USD front fork and wire spoke wheels.
• Expect to see a production version of the e-scooter in the coming months.

After launching the LiveWire in select markets, Harley-Davidson is now focusing its attention on creating more affordable electric scooters and cycles for the masses. Design sketches for the latter emerged online recently and we are happy to report that it looks almost similar to the concept that was showcased a few months ago.

The images reveal a minimalistic design. Well, a bit too minimal, if you will, since all you can see is a tubular frame! There are no body panels whatsoever. Moreover, the seat, which rests on the frame, doesn’t look comfortable at all. The only upside of this minimalistic design is that it doesn’t have to carry any extra weight.

The American bike maker has kept the design of the battery and the motor similar to that of the concept model. However, the patent images reveal that the battery will be a removable unit and can be pulled out via two small buttons on either side. The patent images also reveal that the Bar & Shield company is planning to stick with the same set of features as seen before. So, you have an LED headlight, USD front fork and wire-spoked wheels. 

This e-scooter will be a part of Harley’s ambitious ‘More Roads to Harley-Davidson’ growth strategy that aims to expand the manufacturer’s product portfolio. And it’s not just electric mobility that Harley is working on, though. It is also planning to add an Adventure tourer and a Streetfighter to its lineup.
