Honda CBR 250R buyer attention please, the bike can now be taken home with the down payment of Rs.53,000; it was expected to be Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 100000. The latest update suggests that it will be easy to get a 2011 Honda CBR 250R now. Honda is taking interest rate of 10 per cent whereas other bikes are available at the interest rate of 12-14 per cent.

Above 3000 units of the bike have been booked so far and the bike is ready to be delivered by this month. Meanwhile the bookings for the bike is on with a waiting period of up to 4 months. The marketing strategy of the company has been aggressive so far to make it popular and affordable. It is to be noted that the bike is already launched in Indonesia and getting positive response there.

Honda CBR 250R is positioned against the Kawasaki Ninja 250R which is two times costlier than the former. That might bring down the sales of Ninja 250R; however, there is no information about the future plans of Kawasaki to compete with the new bike from Honda. The CBR 250R comes with ABS system that might be the deciding factor between these two.

India Yamaha is also mulling over to launch launch 200 cc to 250cc bikes in India, as per Hiroyuki Suzuki, the new managing director and chief executive of India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. With the announcement of this bike, now Yamaha India, is fully ready to answer to Honda CBR 250R and Kawasaki Ninja 250R which are most-popular light sports bikes in India and awesome response from buyers.

CBR250

These two models of Honda CBR 250 are more than 10 years old in world market, but at the same time other sports bike models like R 15, Kawasaki Ninja 250R etc are much recent models in world market. Price wise Kawasaki Ninja 250 is about double than CBR 250 (Rs.1,50,000) and power wise Honda is on higher side with 45PS when Ninja is 33ps. However after CBR 250 comes to Indian market within Rs.1,50,000 (probably ex. showroom) Kawasaki Ninja has to drop their price.
