EXCLUSIVE: 350cc Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Prices Leaked Before Launch
Engine < 350cc = Lower GST = Lower price, right? Well…
We have received the prices for the upcoming 350cc Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z from Bajaj dealers. The 350cc version of the Bajaj Pulsar NS will be replacing the current Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z. According to the price quotes we have received, the ex-showroom price of the Pulsar NS350Z is Rs 1,93,898 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra), which is just Rs 2 less than the Pulsar NS400Z, which is priced at Rs 1,93,900 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra).
Now, there isn't a price drop despite the lower displacement because Bajaj has never passed on the GST impact to the customers. The brand took the hit to keep the bikes at the same price as before the revised tax rates. This means the bikes were effectively priced as if they were under the lower tax slab. Now that they are actually in the lower slab, Bajaj won’t have to absorb the impact, and thus the bikes cost the same. That said, these are only dealer quotes and we shall know the official Bajaj pricing only when the bike is launched.
Apart from that, the same dealers have also confirmed that bookings for the 350cc Pulsar NS400Z have already begun, and deliveries will start soon.
Same Design, New Engine
The design of the upcoming 350cc Bajaj Pulsar NS400 Z will remain the same as the outgoing bike. Interestingly, this upcoming bike will be carrying the same NS400Z name tag and have the same model name graphics as well.
According to the leaked engine specifications of the upcoming 350cc Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, the bike has a 349.13cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 40.6PS and 33.2Nm. As compared to the current NS400Z, the power figures have dropped by only 2.4PS and 1.8Nm.
