The 2022 KTM RC 390 has made its way to dealership yards and here is how the updated bike, the Austrian marque’s flagship supersport for India, looks up close in real world images.
In terms of appearance, the 2022 KTM RC 390 gets an edgier fairing with a sculpted fuel tank which is also bigger in size when compared to its predecessor. It also features a new single LED headlight with integrated DRLs and indicators on either side, new rear-view mirrors, a bigger visor and a split seat setup.
Propelling the 2022 RC 390 is the same 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor as the previous model. It now produces 43.5PS and 37Nm (1Nm more than the previous model). Along with revised engine mapping, the bike also gets a 40 per cent larger airbox which is said to improve low-to-mid range torque delivery.
The bike is built on a new trellis frame with a bolt-on subframe that is 1.5kg lighter than that of its predecessor. The suspension includes the same 43mm WP Apex USD fork up front and WP Apex monoshock at the rear with 10 step preload adjustability.
There are newer, lighter brakes from ByBre, with a 320mm and a 230mm rotor at the front and rear, respectively. It now rolls on 2.7kg lighter five-spoke alloy wheels which reduces more unsprung mass.
The 2022 KTM RC 390 features a TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. However, it misses out on navigation. In terms of tech, the bike comes equipped with traction control and lean-sensitive ABS, Supermoto mode (switchable rear ABS) and a quickshifter.
The 2022 KTM RC 390 comes at an ex-showroom (Delhi) price tag of Rs 3,13,922 and rivals the likes of TVS Apache RR 310 and Kawasaki Ninja 300.

Im using RC 390 since the past 8 months I got a better experience while riding the vehicle. It gives a better mileage while comparing to its power and performance. I got around 22 to 27 kmpl mileage. But the riding comfort is not good we can't take it to a long ride. Overall it's a beast in its segment.Read More
