Hero Xtreme 125R Variants Explained: Price, Features, Which One To Buy?
The top variant gets cruise control, dual channel ABS and much more

The Hero Xtreme 125R is available in multiple variants with different braking setups, seat configurations, and recently Hero launched some new colour options for it as well. With prices starting at Rs 89,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), the bike targets riders looking for a sporty, yet practical 125cc commuter. In this explainer, we break down all the variants of this 125cc commuter so you can choose the one that suits your needs best.
Hero Xtreme 125R IBS
Price – Rs 89,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

The Hero Xtreme 125R IBS is the base variant, and also the most affordable one in the lineup. It gets IBS (Integrated Braking Setup), that is basically a combined braking system (CBS) where both brakes work together when the rear brake is applied, improving braking for everyday riding.
The bike comes with a sporty design featuring full-LED lighting, a muscular fuel tank and a split-seat layout. It gets an LCD instrument console without smartphone connectivity. Other than this, the bike gets a USB charging port. If you want the most affordable entry into the Xtreme 125R lineup, this variant should do the job just fine.
Hero Xtreme 125R ABS (OBD2B)
Price – Rs 93,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

This variant gets single-channel ABS (instead of CBS), which prevents the front wheel from locking under hard braking. This should significantly improve braking confidence compared to the IBS version. However, this variant misses out on a rear disc brake, and instead gets a 130mm drum brake.
Apart from the improved safety, the rest of the equipment remains largely the same. You still get the all-LED lighting setup, an LCD console without connectivity, and the same sporty styling. For a premium of Rs 4,200, over the base variant, this one offers a better safety net, making it the more sensible choice for most buyers.
Hero Xtreme 125R ABS Single Seat
Price – Rs 93,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

This variant is identical to the ABS variant, but gets a single-piece seat instead of the split-seat layout. The single seat may not look as sporty as the split-seat setup, but it can offer slightly better comfort for both rider and pillion, especially on longer commutes. If you prefer comfort and practicality over sporty aesthetics, this variant could be a good pick.
Hero Xtreme 125R Dual-Channel ABS
Price – Rs 1,05,500 (ex-showroom Delhi)

The Hero Xtreme 125R Dual-Channel ABS, is the top-spec variant, and also the most feature-packed option in the lineup. It gets dual-channel ABS with disc brakes on both wheels.
The bike also gets ride modes (Eco, Road, Power) and cruise control. Along with this, the bike has a coloured LCD console with smartphone connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts. There is also a more modern, USB type-C charging port, all of which makes the Xtreme 125R one of the most feature-rich motorcycles in the 125cc segment. Additionally, there are several official accessories as well.
If safety and features are your priority, this is the best version of the Xtreme 125R to buy. Although it comes at a noticeable premium of Rs 16,200 over the lower variants. More about this dual-channel ABS variant here.
