Quick highlights

  • Will be based on an all-new single-cylinder platform

  • To rival the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450

  • India launch expected in the second half of 2027

Norton Motorcycles is set to unveil a new 450cc single-cylinder roadster at EICMA 2026 in Milan. The upcoming motorcycle will be based on an entirely new platform and is expected to be launched in India in the second half of 2027. Here are all the details:

What To Expect

The upcoming Norton 450cc roadster is expected to be powered by a 450cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing around 40 to 45 PS and around 40 Nm. It is also likely to come with a 6-speed gearbox.

The upcoming motorcycle will be the first model based on an all-new platform, reportedly called the H-series. The brand is also likely to introduce more motorcycles based on this platform in the future.

In terms of design, the Norton roadster is likely to get neo-retro styling, staying true to authentic Norton style. We could also expect premium finishes along with multiple retro-inspired paint schemes.

It could also get 17-inch wheels along with an 8-inch TFT touchscreen, riding modes, and multiple electronic riding aids.

All said and done, the brand has not confirmed anything officially as of now.

Expected India Launch Timeline

Norton is expected to launch the new roadster in India and international markets simultaneously in the second half of 2027. However, before that, Norton India will begin its rollout with the Atlas range between January and March 2027, followed by the Manx range.

The upcoming roadster will also be manufactured at TVS' Hosur plant in Tamil Nadu.

BikeDekho Says

The upcoming Norton roadster will be the entry point to the Norton brand and will sit below the twin-cylinder Norton Atlas and the V4-powered Norton Manx. However, because of the current GST 2.0 tax slabs in India, it will be more expensive than its 350cc rivals, putting Norton at a slight disadvantage.

To overcome this, we expect TVS-Norton to provide the bike with premium hardware and more technology to make it stand out in the sub-500cc roadster segment.

Upon its launch, it will rival the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450.
