The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V was recently launched with new features, colours and design. It now has three variants: Standard (to be available in January, 2027), Pro, and Carbon. The Carbon variant is the range-topper, and therefore packs the most features and updates and is priced at Rs 1,41,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Design & Styling
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V flaunts a sharp streetfighter design, with muscular fuel tank, sculpted bodywork, and a sporty tail section. The headlight unit is aggressively redesigned. The red-coloured front wheel is exclusive to the Carbon variant and it contrasts with the black rear wheel. The bike looks sharp and aggressive, despite having a single-piece seat. It has four colours to choose from: Carbon Black, Carbon Red, Carbon Grey, and Abrax Orange.
Features
The Carbon variant has a host of new features and tech such as: TFT console, dual channel-ABS, ride-by-wire, riding modes (Rain, Road, and Sports), cruise control (segment-first), a USB-C port, golden USD fork, red coloured front wheel (in Carbon Red, Carbon Black and Carbon Grey colours), adjustable clutch lever, and back-lit switches. This makes the Carbon variant the most feature-packed and most convenient variant of the Xtreme 160R 4V.
Engine & Performance
The 163.2cc 4-valved, single cylinder, air-oil-cooled Hero engine has been updated as well, and it now makes 17.1PS at 8,750 rpm and 14.6Nm at 6,500 rpm. The peak power output has been increased by 0.2PS and arrives at 250 rpm higher than before. The engine is tuned to strike a balance between everyday riding and sporty performance. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Safety & Hardware
The bike gets dual channel-ABS with front disc brake measuring at 276mm and the rear at 220mm. Both of them are petal discs, which helps in heat dissipation (better than conventional round discs) and provides consistent braking performance. The suspension setup consists of a USD fork and a monoshock at the rear.
