Upcoming Triumph Bonneville 400 Spied Testing Abroad

    Quick Highlights:

    • Looks quite similar to the bigger Bonneville T100

    • It is expected to get a downsized 350cc motor for the Indian market

    • Could be launched in India by June, 2026

The upcoming Triumph Bonneville 400 has been spotted testing abroad, and at first glance, the bike appears to be quite similar to Triumph Bonneville T100

The Bonneville 400 can be seen with a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, simple-looking side panels, and long front and rear fenders. All of this gives it a clean and classic design. The spy shots also reveal some modern touches like a round LED headlight, LED indicators, and an LED taillight. To keep the feel similar to the bigger Bonneville models, Triumph has used simple suspension components. The bike gets a conventional telescopic fork with fork gaiters, and twin rear shock absorbers. This setup should help in keeping the ride comfortable and the costs under control. The riding posture also looks quite relaxed. The footpegs are centre-set, and the handlebar is also high. This should make the bike easy to ride in the city and comfortable on longer rides as well. Another nice detail is the single-sided exhaust, finished in matte black, which adds to the classic Bonneville look.

The engine is expected to be the same 400cc unit seen on the Triumph Speed 400, Triumph Scrambler 400 X, and the Triumph Thruxton 400. It should produce the same 40PS and 37Nm, just like these bikes. However, for India, Triumph might use a smaller 350cc engine to keep the price in check, after the GST 2.0 reforms.

Overall the bike looks quite appealing, with its proper retro vibe. With the whole engine downsizing scenario currently being seen for the 400cc bikes, the Bonneville too will get a 350cc motor, when it comes to India. Currently, its India debut is expected to take place in June, 2026, and it could be priced at around Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the Bonneville 400 will compete with bikes like the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Royal Enfield Bullet 350Honda CB350 H’ness, and the Jawa 350.
