BREAKING: Kinetic Green E Luna Prime Launched: Looks More Modern With Alloys, Windshield And More

Comes in two variants, starting from Rs 82,490 (ex-showroom)

Quick News Highlights

  • Kinetic Green E Luna Prime gets a lot of new features over the older variants

  • Gets alloy wheels – a first for the e-Luna

  • Also gets an all-LED headlight and digital instrument console

Kinetic Green has launched the E Luna Prime, a more premium version of the E Luna. Its prices start at Rs 82,490 (ex-showroom), and it is available in two variants: One with a 110km range and the other with a 140km range.

The Kinetic E Luna Prime gets a refreshed design, with a red-coloured frame. It gets a silver cladding on the sides of the floorboard along with a new graphic scheme, which looks quite modern. It also gets alloy wheels as opposed to the spoked ones on the other E Luna variants. The alloys also have stylish rim stickers, and more importantly, they come with tubeless tyres. These tyres can handle punctures much better than the tubed ones on the other spoke wheel variants.

Also new are the LED headlamp, digital instrument console, and tall windscreen – they give the electric moped a clean and modern look. That said, the windshield seems a bit too tall in our opinion.

The E Luna Prime is driven by an electric motor paired to a floor-mounted battery that gives it a range of 110km and 140km, depending on the variant. It has a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers, drum brakes at both ends.

Considering its price, it offers reasonable value for money, and more importantly, lower running costs than a petrol-powered moped. So it may be much more expensive than say, a TVS XL100, but makes up for it in the long term with its affordable running costs. The Prime variant also looks much more modern than other e Luna variants, and will appeal to a wider audience. It is available in 6 colours.

Also, the Prime comes just after the recent launch of the new TVS XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy variant, a petrol-powered rival to the E Luna priced at Rs 59,700 (ex-showroom). With the ongoing festive season, now would be the perfect time for those looking for a moped - both petrol-powered and EV for that matter.
