The new variant comes in an exclusive matte black colour scheme, USB charging port and a couple of other practical features

The Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition costs almost as much as the Million Edition. Apart from the colour scheme and features update, the motorcycle remains unchanged mechanically. No smartphone connectivity offered as standard.

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition to cash in on the increased demand this festive season. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 1,16,660, making it just Rs 200 more than the Million Edition.

As the name suggests, the bike comes in an exclusive matte black colour scheme with premium 3D ‘Xtreme Stealth’ logo on the fuel tank, and ‘160R’ sticker on the tail panel. It also gets red highlights on the headlight cowl. More importantly, the motorcycle now comes with a USB charging port under the handlebar, a five-level brightness adjustment for the negative LCD instrument cluster. For added convenience, the instrument cluster also comes with a gear position indicator.

That said, it still does not come with smartphone connectivity as standard. You can still avail one by paying an extra Rs 4,999. The module will let the rider access features such as tow-away alert, geo fence, topple alert, driving score, speed alert, trip analysis, and live tracking. Even this module does not offer turn-by-turn navigation like the recently-launched 2022 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V does.

The rest of the mechanicals have remained unchanged. The motorcycle continues to use the same 163cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, good for 15.2PS and 14Nm, paired to a five-speed transmission. The motorcycle is suspended on a 37mm telescopic front fork, rear monoshock, and rolls on 17-inch alloys that are stopped by a 276mm front and a 220mm rear petal disc.

Other notable features include an all-LED lighting system, and a single-channel ABS. The motorcycle weighs the same as the rear disc brake equipped variant, at 139.5kg (kerb).

The Stealth Edition will go up directly against the 2022 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Special Edition. Other rivals include the Yamaha FZ-S Fi, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, and the Suzuki Gixxer
