Ducati has launched the 2025 Multistrada V4 range in India priced between Rs 22,98,400 to Rs 30,18,500 (ex-showroom). The bike gets a lot of mechanical, electronic, and design updates.

Design

The 2025 Multistrada V4 gets sharper styling at the front, kind of similar to the Ducati Panigale V4. The twin headlight gets a new design and the brand says it has taken inspiration from the iconic 916 and 1098 models for this. The bike is available in 3 colours: Ducati Red, Thrilling Black, and Arctic White.

Engine

The 2025 Ducati Multistrada V4 has a liquid-cooled 1,158cc V4 engine that is E20 compliant. It makes 170PS at 10,750 rpm and 123.8Nm at 9,000 rpm. It’s mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a bidirectional quickshifter, counter-rotating crankshaft, and weighs just 66.7kg.

The Ducati Multistrada’s engine now also gets ‘extended’ cylinder deactivation – not only do the rear 2 cylinders switch off when idling, but also under relaxed riding conditions - resulting in more mileage. And, when more power is needed, the cylinders reactivate instantly.

This Ducati bike has 5 riding modes: Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet, and Enduro. The bike makes 114PS in Enduro, Urban, and Wet. Enduro mode deactivates wheelie control and rear ABS, reduces the intervention of traction control, cornering ABS, and rear wheel lift off control - all for better off-road performance.

Underpinnings

The Ducati Multistrada V4 is built on an aluminium monocoque frame, tubular steel sub-frame, double-sided aluminum swingarm, 50mm inverted fork with 170mm of wheel travel and monoshock with 180mm of travel - both fully adjustable and from Marzocchi. It has twin 320mm front discs with radial 4-piston Brembo calipers, 280mm rear disc brake, 19-inch front wheel with a 120-section, and 17 rear with a 170-section.

The higher-spec V4 S adds semi-active ‘Marzocchi Ducati Skyhook Suspension EVO’ at both ends, now with a fork-mounted sensor and predictive bump detection. The system also includes self-levelling for different load conditions - ensuring balance whether riding solo, with a passenger, or with luggage. The braking gets upgraded too, now with 330mm front discs and Brembo Stylema calipers.

Passenger comfort has also been slightly improved with the panniers and top case moving slightly backwards to allow more legroom, also multiple seat height options are available for both rider and pillion. Ducati will also offer a wide range of accessories including lightweight aluminium and carbon fibre parts, forged aluminium rims, and even a dry clutch.

Features

One of the headline updates to the Ducati Multistrada bike is the ‘Automatic Lowering Device’, which lowers the bike by up to 30mm at speeds below 10kmph, making it easier to handle at low speeds or when stationary. It automatically returns to normal height above 50kmph. The V4 S also adds Forward Collision Warning (FCW) in addition to the radar-based Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD).

Other features include cruise control, vehicle hold control (hill hold assist) Engine Brake Control (EBC), and Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) -  which takes data from 70 sensors to adapt how the ABS, Cornering ABS, Wheelie Control, Traction Control, and Engine Brake Control work according to each particular rider.

The 6.5-inch TFT console gets an updated interface for easier suspension control, and still has navigation, calls, and music connectivity via the Ducati Connect app. The bike also comes with an ‘Electronic Combined Braking System’, which applies the front brake when only the rear is used.
