What Is New?
All bikes under the 2025 Benelli TRK 502 range have now received a new TFT instrument console, with smartphone connectivity. The console offers smartphone connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation, which is a nice upgrade. The previous generation model had a rather simple looking, semi-digital instrument console with an analogue tachometer and an LCD screen for speed, odometer and tripmeter readouts.

Another major change is the addition of a tyre pressure monitoring system. This is a quite premium feature which will make it easier for riders to keep an eye on their tyre’s pressure. Speaking of tyres, the TRK 502X and the TRK 502X (LE) will feature a 19-inch front and a 17-inch cross-laced tubeless spoke wheels (wheel sizes are the same as before).
Earlier the two variants were offered with regular spoke wheels, with tube tyres. This made dealing with flat tyres very inconvenient. On the other hand, the base TRK 502 is offered with a smaller 17-inch alloy setup at the front and rear (same as the 2024 model).

Lastly, the TRK range now gets heated hand grips and a heated seat. These will come quite handy when travelling through colder climates. Also, we haven’t seen this feature in any other bikes in this segment in India, so this makes the TRK 502 stand out.
The brand has also given both bikes an aluminum swingarm. This should help in reducing the bike’s weight overall, compared to the tubular steel swingarm which it got earlier.
What Remains Unchanged?
Other than the addition of these new changes, the TRK 502 remains unchanged. The bike is still powered by the same 500cc, liquid-cooled parallel twin engine which outputs 47.5PS and 46Nm.

The bike is built on a steel trellis frame, and is suspended on an inverted fork and a monoshock. It gets a dual 320mm disc brake setup at the front and a single 260mm disc at the rear.

The updates to the Benelli TRK502 are a welcome change, but with increasing competition from other brands the TRK feels a little too expensive for what it offers. Sure, it may have unique features including heated grips and seat but its primary rival, the Honda NX500 not only has the advantage of being a much well-known and well-established brand but is also considerably lighter.

When the bike first came to India, it was the only twin-cylinder ADV which was relatively affordable. Now the market is changing, and the CF Moto 450 MT is also set to be launched soon. Another important point to note is that the Honda NX500 is priced at Rs 5,90,000 (ex-showroom), making it Rs 30,000 more affordable than the TRK502.
That said, we had ridden the TRK502 back in the day and we found the bike to be a simple no-nonsense touring bike which can easily munch miles on the highway. The bike also provides a really comfortable riding experience as well. So if you’re someone who is in the market for a unique-looking, reasonably well-equipped ADV, then you can consider the TRK502.

- Great adv tourer / even better for Bangalore roadsReally good comfort (most comfortable in the segment). Really good pickup and acceleration for a 500 cc bike, rides very well in rains. The road presence is 100% a head turner. The bike is mostly not suitable for anyone below 5’ 6”, but the weight distribution is pretty good. And the quality of every part of the bike— I’m very happy with it overall.Read More
