The Pulsar RS200 sold in Turkey gets new colour scheme, might share 2017 NS 200’s engine
Bajaj recently unveiled the Pulsar NS200 Fi and the Pulsar NS160 at a dealers meet in Turkey. The bikemaker also showcased new colour option for the Pulsar RS200 along with its naked siblings. The new paint scheme is a combination of Black and Grey. The bike gets a gray casing for the exhaust instead of black on the current one.
Currently the bike is powered with the 199.5cc single cylinder, four valve, liquid cooled, triple spark engine which makes 23.5PS at 9500 rpm and 18.3Nm of torque at 8000 rpm. What is interesting is the bike seems to share the same gray engine casing as the NS200 which was shown at the dealers meet. Both the discontinued 200NS and the current RS 200 feature a 200 cc engine with a bronze colored engine casing.
So it is highly likely that the bike might be soon updated with the 2017 NS 200’s 194.4cc motor which develops 24.5 PS at 9500 rpm and 18.3 Nm at 8000rpm. The new motor makes 1 PS more than the outgoing engine and will be BS-IV compliant.
We expect the bike will be launched in India this year and it might see a marginal price hike.
There have also been sightings of the Pulsar RS 200 in a white shade in a dealership in Maharashtra. Now this might be a one-off bike specially painted for a customer or it might be a new shade which Bajaj might introduce before the update as the engine casing colour is similar to the current bike.
