The Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 was first showcased at a dealers’ meet in Turkey last year. The bike had hit dealerships in India a few days ago and has finally been launched in the country. Except for the revised 160 graphics, the entire bike looks identical to the NS200. It is powered by a 160.3cc oil-cooled DTS-i engine which develops 15.5PS of power @ 8500rpm and a peak torque of 14.6Nm @ 6500rpm, mated to a five-speed gearbox. The Pulsar NS 160 gets the same perimeter frame chassis as the NS200. Suspension duties are done by the same telescopic forks with anti-friction bush at the front and nitrox monoshock at the rear.
The NS160 gets skinnier tubeless tyres with 80/100 R17 section at the front and 110/80 R17 section at the rear. Braking duties are handled by downsized 240mm petal discs (280mm disc on the NS200) at the front and a 130mm drum (230mm disc on the NS200) setup at the rear. The bike gets 12 litres of fuel tank capacity and weighs 142kg. It is offered in three colours - Saffire Blue, Passion Red and Glossy Pewter Grey.

The Pulsar NS160 is priced at Rs. 78,368 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and faces competition from already established market leaders like the Suzuki Gixxer, Honda Hornet and the Yamaha FZ-S.

- Good bike for youngstersGood handling and medium breaking, medium performance for short time city and highway riding, good sharp stylish looking naked bike, good road presence, low service charge with medium mileage 30 to 40 kmpl. Long ride comfort is not good after 100km. Wrist pain and shoulder pain, good handling bike. It's give you confidence to flicker very easily. Front break is good stopping power but too much abs kicking problem, rear brake is not good, no stopping power. Top speed after 2nd service 124 highest, mileage not that good 40 km after simple riding. If you ride aggressively, mileage can drop upto 30-25 kmpl. Can recommend this bike to the youngsters who go to college and those who want to explore many places on bike. Short time riding and some time aggressive riding and those who want naked sports bike in low cc and low service charge bike, this is good for them.Read More6
- Excellent bikeMy pulsar NS 160 is still in excellent condition with all documents and riding experience is awesome and bike is also fast and reliable. It also offers dual channel Abs and it has less maintenance cost and it gives immense pleasure to ride. - good bike but need some improvements.The bike is good handling and performance but the mileage is not that good, it gives me 30-35 kmpl mileage. Meanwhile, the other 160 segment bikes give more mileage and it's not that smooth at higher revs, feels too much vibration. - Review of my 6 years old NS160I got this bike when i was 18 back in 2019, after almost 6 plus years and 30 thousand kilometres. I personally see this bike as the best value for money one can get. Apart from that this bike is still relevant after all these years. The one thing i like the most about this vehicle is its handling. If maintained well this bike gives a smooth and comfortable ride be it in city or highway. Mine is twin disc variant with single channel ABS, break bite is quick enough to react in emergency breaking situations. The only con I have noticed so far is bajaj's parts durability. Though they offer parts at cheaper rates comparatively but still it becomes a headache when you need to replace them more often. Will recommend this bike any day. For me this is a perfect package of commuter, adventure, long riding basically everything. I have done 500 kms in a single day stopped at every 100 kms for nearly 30 mins and the bike performed very well. This is a perfect bike for those who look for a all-rounder bike with low maintenance.Read More7 2
