These will be the biggest bikes yet from the Pulsar lineup
Bajaj has announced that the highly-anticipated Bajaj Pulsar 250 and the Pulsar 250 F will debut on October 28. The Pulsar 250 twin will replace the ageing Pulsar 220F in the bikemaker’s portfolio.
We have already seen the upcoming Pulsar being tested extensively around Pune. The bikes are built on a new platform which uses a new air- and oil-cooled 250cc single-cylinder engine. Though details aren’t out yet, we expect it to make around 24PS.

Bajaj has extensively worked on not just the internals but the design as well. The test mules spotted sported projector headlights, flanked by DRLs. Even the ‘X’ shaped tail light is new and unlike anything we have seen on any of the Pulsars yet. Bajaj is likely to use a semi-digital instrument console for the new Pulsars.
The new Bajaj Pulsar 250 and the 250F showcase the new direction the Pulsar lineup is headed. In fact, Bajaj has lined up the launch with the 20th anniversary of the Pulsar moniker. The company has already revealed that the smaller siblings too would be updated within a year.
Bajaj has been known to price its bikes extremely competitively, and with something as important as the Pulsar 250, that is unlikely to change. The new bikes could come with an affordable price tag of Rs 1.34 lakh (ex-showroom). The Pulsar 250 twins will lock horns with the likes of the Yamaha FZ 25, Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Gixxer SF 250, and could very well be the country's most affordable quarter-litre bike.
