Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS Fi in the Making

Bajaj Auto always gives an upper hand to the technology in their bikes, and they have some most advanced bikes in their portfolio. Last year when Bajaj Auto launched its next generation Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS as its flagship bike, it was the most advanced Pulsar bike till date, It was the first Bajaj bike to get monoshock suspension, petal disc brakes and first bike in the world to get triple-spark technology. But to control the prices they continue to use carburettor to inject the fuel in the engine, now there are reports that Bajaj is working on a fuel injected version for the Pulsar 200 NS. The Pulsar 200NS is the only bike in the segment that doesn't use fuel injection unlike Hero Karizma ZMR and the likes.

There are possibilities that the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS Fi is being developed for the export markets only, which will be launched in Philippines and Malaysia. The Pulsar 200 NS equipped with fuel injection will perform better and will be more fuel efficient. The bike is powered by a 200cc, liquid cooled, SOHC, Triple spark engine, which is the same except the fuel injection in-place of carburettor. The new fuel injection will improve the performance for sure, but the power output will remain same, it will be linear for sure. Mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, the engine produces the maximum power output of 23.5bhp with the peak torque of 18.3Nm. Its triple spark ignition unit help it burn every single bit of the fuel, thus offers optimum performance with the class leading mileage figures.

As it's a known fact that Bajaj 200 NS' engine is majorly based on the KTM Duke 200's, fuel injection is also expected to be inspired from the same source. The fuel injection will help the 200 NS to compete with KTM Duke 200. The 200Ns will be the second Bajaj bike to feature a fuel injection as the the first one was the Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi. It is obvious that the prices of the vehicle will be increased due to fuel injection and if it launches in India it will be costlier by a minimum of Rs. 10k.

NS 200 best of all time

No vibration, perfect riding position, best performance, all rounder bike. And because I trust the bajaj and in this segment this is the best bike i bought. And the good one is gearing position, I like the design of my bike. Mileage i got on highway around 40 kml in cities 34 around, but best handling in every way. I ride the bike around 1900 km and I got the good mileage i observed there is no mileage drop in this segment. I ride around 50 km per day. Don't buy if you are not a men. Because pulsar is only for men. I would suggest this bike for every men, it is also best for college students and office mates. It attracts the whole attention of everyone. Read More

the best ever

The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is one of India’s most popular 200 cc streetfighter motorcycles, known for its powerful engine and sporty character. It’s powered by a 199.5 cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve DTS-i engine that makes around 24.1–24.5 PS of power and ~18.7 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth 6-speed gearbox that delivers strong acceleration and a top speed near 140 km/h, making it fun for both city rides and highway cruising.Read More

The underrated gem

The first gen 200ns was the bike I fell in love with back then, so I always wanted one and hence got the current version of the bike. Apart from that the character of the engine and mainly the muscular timeless design and the sound...! The ride until now has been pretty pretty good, Yes there are some nacks here n there in terms of the build quality, fit n finish and some minor vibration aroun fron visor and rear seat, But the bike feels soo much emgaging to ride, everytime I'm on the bike it wants me to rev the engine all the way, and I find myself smiling inside my helmet. the major chunk of power comes above 6k rpm and that's where all the fun starts. All though the engine is much much more refined than the original 200ns but still you can feel that aggresive character in it. I feel the braking could have been better specially the organic brake pads, I think bybre was much better. And the abs kicks in a bit sooner than needed. In terms of handling this bike is such a gem, with the new usd forks its better than ever, the bike feels so like yet so stable on highways and once you get it into corners, then you can actually unleash the full potential of this machine, the chassis and dynamics are so good, the bike just flows into corners, I think bajaj can do better job for tyres as well, the bike demands 110 and 140 sections. But Bajaj being Bajaj, they had to do cost cutting so. Overal I'd say an amazing experience so far not a single moment of regret. All I have is satisfaction and the urge to get on my bike again and go out for a spin...! Okay so if you're someone who is very much into techy features and all those stuff then you should stay away, there are many other competitors who are much better. But i think that's not the purpose of this bike. This machine is for someone who just wants to have fun every time they get on the bike, someone who want to feel that rush and adrenaline surge into your veins everytime you ride the bike, someone who wants to lean how to ride fast the right way, someone who cares more about the engaging riding feel and experience rather than spec sheets filled with all the tech gizmos... You should definitely go and have a proper ride on this bike to fell all that beforehand atleast once..! Read More
