Bajaj Pulsar 125 Split Seat Gets Cheaper; Now Available With Drum Brakes

The Bajaj Pulsar 125 Split Seat variant with drum brakes has been launched in India at Rs 73,274 (ex-showroom Delhi). This makes it Rs 6,944 less expensive than the front drum brake-equipped variant. As per their official price list, the difference between the disc and drum brake-equipped variant is considerable (Rs 4,800) for the standard Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon as well. Bajaj probably wants to keep the delta similar for both the models, so those seeking a drum brake variant of the sportier looking Pulsar 125 Split Seat can easily spend Rs 1,152 over the Neon variant.
Compared to the Pulsar 125 Neon, the Split Seat variant gets a dual seat setup, as the name suggests. It also gets an engine cowl and split pillion grab rails for a sportier appeal. The drum brake-equipped variant gets a 130mm drum on both ends with CBS, as opposed to a 240mm front disc and 130mm rear drum, CBS-enabled setup.
Other mechanical aspects such as the telescopic front fork, twin gas-charged rear shock absorbers, tubeless tyres, and 124.4cc powertrain making 11.8PS and 10.8Nm have been carried over to the new variant. As far as rivals are concerned, the Bajaj Pulsar 125 Split Seat goes up against the Honda SP 125 and the Hero Glamour 125.
