Bajaj KTM intends to launch new 125cc bike in India

India's biggest two-wheeler manufacturer, Bajaj Auto had collaborated with Austrian based motorcycles manufacturer, KTM power sports AG. Both companies planning to launch its new 125cc bikes in India by the next year. Besides, the new 125cc bike will be initially launched in the European market in this year. Bajaj Auto will take all responsibility including manufacturing, selling and exporting. The company will produce the bike at its Chakan Plant which is staying nearly Pune and will be commerically launched within the 12 months in the Indian auto market. Bajaj has also debuted into an agreement with KTM, where both companies will jointly launch global bikes in India. Bajaj Auto is prepared to launch different type of class bikes in India in 125-250cc segment that also have possibility to enter into the global market. The company will produce most advanced vehicles from 2012 onwards, which would be applicable for ahead generation from the current position in the auto market. Rajiv Bajaj, MD of Bajaj Auto said, that means we will mainly focus on new set of engines and transmission behind better interiors. Both companies have already planned to launch high-end performance bikes in the Indian market.
