As the fever of 11th Indian Auto Expo 2012 gets over, bike manufacturers have started working aggressively to launch their fresh two wheelers in Indian automotive industry. In a step forward, Bajaj Auto India is launching KTM Duke 200 in the country today at an introductory price tag of Rs. 1.17 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). With KTM Duke 200, KTM is making its official entry in India. The growing Indian auto market had witnessed Kawasaki 250cc and 650 cc and in order to compete against them, Bajaj Auto India and KTM India in joint venture introduced all new sporty Duke 200 in India.
After dominating the global automotive market KTM Motors in collaboration with Bajaj Auto in India is planning to capture a major market share in India. It has been a while now that KTM branded lower capacity street fighters have been in process and now the country is set to witness the official launch of Big Orange brand of motorcycles, KTM Duke 200.
KTM Duke 200 was seen vrooming in Chakan, near Pune, in December last year. Those who got lucky too spot it and other who are passionate about it are all waiting for this class-leading sporty machine. No more ardent waits now! The street master is finallt set to sway away the market The 165-mm tall KTM Duke has a heart of 199.50 cc DOHC 4V engine that belts out 25 PS of top power at 10,000 RPM and pumps out 19 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 RPM. The sporty bike remains stable at a top speed of 135 Km/h that may disappoint bike admirers.
Priced at Rs. 1.17 lakhs, the KTM Duke 200 will be available across KTM outlets in India. Orange will be the color to look out for as Bajaj Pro-Biking outlets have now been replaced with their KTM brand.
