Aprilia Tuono 457 Reaches Dealerships, Deliveries From April 15

The KTM 390 Duke’s capable Italian rival is almost here

Quick Highlights

  • The Tuono 457 has arrived at dealerships in India

  • Deliveries and test rides are set to begin from April 15

  • Priced at Rs 3.95 lakh ex-showroom Maharashtra

The Aprilia Tuono 457 has finally started arriving at dealerships, and deliveries of the bike are set to begin from April 15, 2025. The bike was launched back in February 2025, and is priced at Rs 3.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). This makes the Tuono 457 the most affordable Aprilia bike in India right now.

The bike has reached dealerships in Maharashtra, and other states are set to follow. In Maharashtra deliveries are set to begin in 4 to 5 days according to our dealership sources. This doesn't come as a surprise as Aprilia manufactures the RS 457 and the Tuono 457 in Baramati, Maharashtra, so it is natural that it will be available there first.

In Delhi, the bike is expected to reach showrooms in 2-3 days and deliveries could begin shortly, as revealed to us by our dealership sources. That said, the official website states that the deliveries as well as the test rides will commence from April 15, so it’s best you reach out to your local dealership for the particulars. Bookings are open for a token amount of Rs 10,000 (refundable).

The Aprilia Tuono 457 is a streetfighter based on the Aprilia RS 457 platform. The bike shares a lot in common with the Aprilia RS 457 in terms of mechanicals. Both the bikes are powered by the same 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine which outputs 47.6PS at 9,400rpm and 43.5Nm at 6,700rpm.

But Aprilia has made some changes to the Tuono 457’s sprocketing.  The Tuono 457 gets a larger 44-teeth sprocket compared to the RS 457’s 43-teeth one. In terms of real-world performance, the Tuono 457 offers a bit more bottom-end grunt, fitting the streetfighter character of the model. The Tuono 457 will go up against the KTM Duke 390 in the 400cc streetfighter segment.

We had done a detailed comparison of the two models in the past, and in our opinion, the Duke 390 offers a lot more value for money. Now with the addition of cruise control as part of the 2025 update, the Duke has become a lot more attractive. KTM India has also managed to keep the pricing the same, as the Duke 390 is now sold at Rs 2.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). That said, the Tuono 457 is still quite an attractive model. It is the best option for those who are looking for a refined, twin-cylinder Italian performance on a budget.

My brother bought this bike a few months ago and it is excellent, in simple this bike is so comfortable to compare to Apache and BMW 310 r, its ride quality and speed, torque are great and the handling when you are at high speed is very smooth which is why i definitely recommend you to buy this bike. Also, I live in a tier 1 city but I only see some of these bikes in rare locations so you have something great and uniqueRead More
