All Royal Enfield BS4 Bikes Sold Out Before BS6 Deadline
It’s the first two-wheeler company in India to accomplish this task
- Royal Enfield dealerships will only BS6-compliant bikes from here on.
- The Classic 350 dual-channel ABS variant was the first BS6 bike from RE.
Royal Enfield has become the first two-wheeler manufacturer in India to have fully transitioned to BS6 emission norms. All Royal Enfield dealerships across India will retail BS6 motorcycles from here on. The brand has managed to sell out all existing inventory of BS4 motorcycles, thus helping its dealerships make a smooth transition to the new norms, well ahead of time.
The revelation comes at a time when dealerships of rival manufacturers are still struggling to get rid of existing BS4 stocks. Royal Enfield carefully deployed phase-wise strategies to ensure the production and distribution of BS4 inventory are scaled down. It simultaneously scaled up production of BS6 motorcycles, making sure its channel partners across India have enough stock to deal with the growing demand for BS6 motorcycles.
The Classic 350 dual-channel ABS variant was the first model from Royal Enfield’s portfolio to move to BS6 norms in early-January.
