The test rides have also commenced at select dealerships

Just a couple of days after Kawasaki launched the 2022 Ninja 300, the bike has started reaching dealerships. As per our sources, the bike will be available at all authorised Kawasaki dealerships by the end of this month with the test rides and deliveries already begun at select dealerships.

The Ninja 300, in its latest iteration, unfortunately only gets revised graphics. It arrives at no extra cost over the previous 2021 model but the prices were hiked silently in the month of March, going up by Rs 13,000.

The Ebony colour scheme now comes with a grey pinstripe on the fairing, green highlights and ‘300’ stickers on the fairing.

The Candy Lime Green model gets a black and green dual tone scheme with tear-like graphics and ‘Ninja’ stickers on the fairing.

Interestingly, the graphics on the Lime Green colour variant have been kept as is.

The faired bike continues to be powered by the 39PS, 26.1Nm 296cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slip-assist clutch.

On the features front, the Ninja 300 gets a semi-digital instrument cluster without smartphone connectivity. There are no electronic rider aids, and the bike still makes do with a dated twin halogen headlight design, bulb indicators.

Underpinnings include a 37mm telescopic fork, linked monoshock, 290mm front and 220mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS.

Kawasaki hiked the price of the Ninja 300 to Rs 3,37,000 (ex-showroom India) in March 2022. The Rs 13,000 premium for a mere graphics update is too much, considering the bike hasn’t been updated in a really long time. The least Kawasaki could’ve done is to throw in the extended warranty and free service schemes for the 2022 model, so that at least it improves the ownership experience.
