Here’s how the baby 125 Duke has evolved

With the 2021 KTM 125 Duke already at the dealerships, our team has had a close look at the bike and here are some detailed images of the refreshed Austrian offering:

With the updated headlights, the bike does look a lot like the 200 and the 250 Duke. The headlamp components are LED DRLs and a halogen bulb. However, the turn indicators do get the LED treatment.

The console stays the same as the 2020 model and displays the same information as well. The handlebar is tad-bit wide and slightly inclined towards the rider.

The outgoing 125 Duke looked docile, whereas 2021 125 Duke looks a lot aggressive and sporty. This has been possible because of the redesigned fuel tank with added extensions. This makes the bike resemble the 200, 250 and 390 Duke. The tank capacity has been increased by 3 litres, to 13.5 litres.

The 2021 125 Duke has the same 124.77cc engine that makes 14.5PS and 12Nm. It’s mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Thanks to BS6 compliance, we see the large catalytic converter in the header pipe.

The new 125 Duke gets a split trellis frame, similar to the 200 and 250 Duke. There’s a lot more room for the rider to move around and the seat is well-cushioned too.

The 17-inch alloys come wrapped in MRF Revz radial Tyres. For 2021, braking hardware stays the same, with a 300mm disc and radial calliper at the front along with a 230mm disc at the rear
