Ducati has introduced two new versions of its popular middleweight motorcycle, the Scrambler. As reported earlier, one is the off-road compatible Desert Sled, while the another one is a sporty Café Racer. These new models join the Scrambler family, which already includes the Icon, Classic, Full Throttle and Sixty2. Based on the existing 803cc platform, the new Scrambler models gets dedicated components and features to serve their specific purposes well.

Sharing features with the Full Throttle, the new Ducati Scrambler Café Racer looks the most different from all the existing variants. The bike gets low clip-on handlebars along with bar-end mirrors and a ‘café racer’ seat. It also comes with gold cast wheels, black anodised aluminium Termignoni muffler cover, Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres, and radial front brake calipers. Besides all this, the dedicated colour scheme, short front fairing, a new logo and the dedicated side number plate completes the authentic cafe racer look of the bike.

The new Scrambler Desert Sled has been introduced as a replacement for the Urban Enduro version and it is more capable off-road as compared to its predecessor. The bike runs on durable spoked gold wheels and the front one is bigger (19") as well. It also gets a fully adjustable suspension set-up comprising of beefy 46mm inverted front forks and a Kayaba rear shock with the new double-sided swingarm. Built on a reinforced tubular frame, the Desert Sled has a high front fender, aluminium handlebar with cross-strut, dedicated ribbed seat, Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres and stainless steel muffler. Complementing the design are a new dedicated colour scheme and a homologated grill.

Both the new Scrambler models are powered by an updated Euro-4 compatible, 803cc L-twin engine, delivering 75PS of power and 68Nm of torque. Also, Bosch 9.1 ABS is standard on both the Desert Sled and the Cafe Racer versions.

The Café Racer will be available from April 2017 in Black Coffee only, with gold wheels and blacked-out frame and engine. Meanwhile, the Desert Sled will get two colour options -- White Mirage and Red Dusk.
