The Hop Leo electric scooter is claimed to be the company’s best selling product. The brand has launched a new high-speed variant of the Leo.
Hop Electric Mobility has announced special discounts for all its models.
Price:
The Hop Leo is available in two variants – Basic (low speed) and Standard (high power, low speed). The former is priced at Rs 81,999, while the latter costs Rs 95,999 (both prices ex-showroom without any subsidies)
Features:
The Hop Leo comes loaded with features, particularly for an electric scooter in its price point. It gets all LED lighting, a LCD instrument cluster, remote keyless ignition, regenerative braking and four riding modes – Eco, Power, Sport and Reverse.
It also offers smartphone connectivity via an app, which provides a whole range of connectivity features like alerts for tow, theft, rash riding, speeding and low battery, along with vehicle tracking and geo fencing.
Engine:
The Hop Leo Standard gets an IP67 rated BLDC hub electric motor that produces a peak of 2. 2kW, while the torque at wheel is 90Nm. This motor draws power from a 2. 4kWh battery pack, which offers a claimed range of 120km. 0-80 percent charging time is claimed to be 2. 5 hours, via a 850W smart charger.
The Hop Leo Basic gets a hub electric motor that produces a peak of 250W, while the torque at wheel is 55Nm. This motor draws power from a 2. 4kWh battery pack, which offers a claimed range of 75km. 0-80 percent charging time is claimed to be 2 hours 45 minutes.
Suspension & Brakes:
The Hop Leo is underpinned by a telescopic fork and hydraulic spring-loaded rear shock absorber. Braking setup includes disc brakes at both ends, with the safety net of combination braking system. Underpinnings remain the same for both variants.
Rivals:
The Hop Leo takes on the likes of the Okinawa Okhi-90, Ola S1 Air and the dual-battery variant of the Hero Electric Optima CX in terms of pricing. You can also look at the TVS Raider, Bajaj Pulsar NS125 or the Yamaha RayZR Street Rally 125 in the same price bracket.
