Overview
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 is the Italian brand’s supermoto inspired street bike, combining aggressive styling, a torquey L-twin engine, and advanced electronics. Its upright ergonomics, high-mounted twin exhausts, and narrow bodywork make it stand out from everything else on the road.

Ducati Hypermotard 950 Variants
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 is available only in the top-end RVE variant in India.

Ducati Hypermotard 950 Design
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 takes its design inspiration from supermoto bikes with a flat seat profile, slim mid-section, and compact proportions. The high twin under-tail exhausts and minimalist bodywork showcase its aggressive stance, while the sharp front end houses a DRL-equipped headlight for a modern, distinctive face. The RVE with the Graffiti Evo livery uses in-your-face decals to achieve a detailed, aerograph-style finish, covering the entire bike for a bold, street-art-inspired look. A lot of carbon fibre and billet aluminum parts are offered as accessories like the rear mudguard, fuel filler cap, and more.

Ducati Hypermotard 950 Engine
The Hypermotard 950 is powered by Ducati’s 937cc Testastretta 11°, L-twin engine shared with the Monster, SuperSport 950, Multistrada V2 and the DesertX. Here it makes 114.2PS at 9,000rpm, 96Nm at 7,250rpm, and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch, bidirectional quickshifter and hydraulic clutch lever as standard. A Termignoni slip-on exhaust is offered as an optional extra.

Ducati Hypermotard 950 Chassis, Brakes, Wheels, Suspension
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 uses a tubular steel trellis frame, single-sided swingarm, 45mm Marzocchi inverted fork with 170mm of wheel travel and Sachs monoshock with 150mm travel - both fully adjustable. It gets twin 320mm front discs with Brembo M4.32 monobloc 4-piston radial calipers and a 245mm rear disc with a 2-piston caliper. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III radial tubeless tyres: 120-section front and 180-section rear. The wet weight without fuel is 193kg, fuel tank capacity is 14.5 litres, seat height is very high at 870mm and ground clearance is a healthy 215mm.

Ducati Hypermotard 950 Features
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 gets a 4.3-inch full colour TFT console, all-LED lights, a USB charge port, throttle-by-wire, adjustable brake and clutch levers. The 6-axis IMU (inertial measurement unit) enables cornering ABS, and slide, traction, wheelie control. It also has 3 riding modes: Sport, Touring, and Urban – which change the engine output. Heated grips, anti-theft alarm, Bluetooth connectivity with phone alerts and music controls are offered as accessories.

Ducati Hypermotard 950 Competition
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 has no direct rivals, but for a similar price you can consider bikes like the Suzuki Hayabusa, Kawasaki ZX-10R, Harley-Davidson Sportster S, KTM 890 Duke or 890 Adventure R, Aprilia Tuono or RS 660, Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RS or Tiger 900 Rally Pro, and the Indian Scout Range. Interestingly, its smaller sibling - the Hypermotard 698 Mono costs Rs 16,50,000 (ex-showroom), which is Rs 49,500 more expensive despite being a single-cylinder and making less power.
