Overview
The Kawasaki Versys 1100 is the adventure tourer from Kawasaki, priced at Rs 13,89,000 (ex-showroom).
Design
The Versys 110 has a sharp and muscular design giving it a solid road presence. That said, the design is a bit too uniform when you compare it with the Versys 650. It only comes in one shade, Metallic, Matte, Graphene Steel Gray/ Metallic Diablo Black.
Features
The Versys 1100 gets a fairly simple features list. It gets an analogue tachometer with an LCD inset for information like speed, gear position indicator, time, fuel gauge and more. For highway comfort it gets cruise control, a type-C charging port and an adjustable windshield.
Safety is taken care of by dual-channel ABS, traction control and wheelie control. There’s no smartphone connectivity, which is a major miss in our opinion.
Engine
Versys 1100 gets a 1,099 cc in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine making 135 PS at 9,000 rpm and 112.0 Nm at 7,600 rpm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Kawasaki claims that the bike offers a mileage of around 18 kmpl.
Underpinnings
Suspension duties are handled by a fully adjustable 43 mm inverted fork with 150 mm wheel travel and a horizontal backlink, a gas-charged rear shock with 152 mm wheel travel. It gets a 310 mm front dual-disc setup and a 260 mm rear disc. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels with 120/70 section front and 180/55 section rear.
