October 15, 2015: The Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Benelli Motorcycles, is planning to launch its off-road and tourer bike named as ‘Benelli TreK Amazonas 1130’  in the country soon. The motorcycle is another such bike that will find its way to India later. The bike will cater to both, off-road as well as touring lovers. Benelli TreK Amazonas 1130 is an Italian off-road and tourer motorcycle, who is awaiting for its launch in the country. With its launch, the company also planning to release few other motorbikes to project its worldwide sales report. The entry of Italian motorcycle manufacturer in the country is a great news for the bike enthusiasts as they will be catered with more choices now from several motorcycle majors.

 

The bike is powered by an 1131cc, four-stroke, liquid cooled engine that is linked to a six-speed transmission system. The mill develops a maximum power of 126 bhp at 9000 rpm which corresponds to a peak torque of 112 Nm at 5000 rpm. The four-valve DOHC engine is equipped with a balancer shaft which enables the bike to perform equally well on the tarmac as well as off-road conditions. The engine runs via Walbro Ecua 1 ignition system with a three-throttle body electronic fuel injection system.

 

It is bolted on a unique frame with front steel trestle and rear aluminium alloy casting. The aluminium excels rim wheels come with 110/80-19 front and 150/70-17 rear tyres. its suspension system consists of Benelli 48mm upside down forks at the front and Sachs shock adjustable mono-shock at the rear. The braking duties are carried by Twin 320mm floating wave discs with radial mounted Brembo 4-piston calipers at the front and single 240mm wave disc with Brembo twin-piston caliper at the rear.

 

It has come with an overall dimension 2200 mm in length, 850 mm in width, 1350 mm in height along with a 1540 mm of wheelbase, which ensures sharp and nimble handling in any condition. Its minimum ground clearance sits at 170 mm which offers an upright share of stability around the corners. It is a fun-to-ride tourer cum off-road bike. The bike incorporates an elegant under-seat muffler which looks amazing. The twin-sectioned headlamp is aerodynamically designed that looks good. The instrument console of the bike equipped with a digital speedometer, an easy to read white dial analogue tachometer and oil temperature gauge apart from consecutive blinkers. The bike has a large fuel tank with 22 liters of capacity. Benelli offers extra benefits to its buyers by providing two-year unlimited km warranty and two-year premium roadside assistance. The bike is waiting to land on Indian clay with a competent price tag.

Design

Benelli TreK Amazonas 1130 is a good glance tourer cum off-road bike in the company’s portfolio. The front fascia of the bike has an aerodynamically crafted twin-sectioned headlamp.It is equipped with a huge fuel tank with 22 liters of capacity. It is blessed with a step up seat which comes well-padded that offers an excellent comfort level to the rider as well as pillion.

 

The bike has an overall measurement of 200 mm in length, 850 mm in width, 1350 mm in height along with a 1540 mm of wheelbase, which offers reliable on-road presence. Its ground clearance sits at 175 mm provides a good share of solidity around the corners. Its total kerb weight sums up 205 kg. The instrument cluster of the bike is pretty informative that comprises of  digital speedometer, an easy to read white dial analogue tachometer and oil temperature gauge apart from consecutive blinkers.

Engine, Mileage & Performance

This tourer cum off-road bike houses an 1131cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine that comes mated to a six-speed transmission system. The mill takes out a net power of 123.37 bhp at 9000 rpm with a peak torque of 112 Nm at 5000 rpm. The four-valve DOHC engine is incorporated with a balancer shaft, that let the motorcycle do well on the tarmac as well as off-road conditions.
