Overview
The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 a British neo-retro bike that takes its design cues from bikes of the past with similar design elements such as the chrome round headlight, tear-drop shaped tank and twin upswept exhausts. In July 2026, Limited-edition Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC was launched at Rs 20,99,000 in India.
The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 series is offered in three variants: peed Twin 1200,Speed Twin 1200 RS and Speed Twin 1200 TFC. The bike is priced at Rs 13,83,800. for the Speed Twin 1200 and Rs 16,77,600 for the RS variant, and Rs 20,99,000 for TFC edition (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
The Speed Twin 1200 series is built on tubular steel double-cradle frame and a double-sided swingarm. The bike gets a 43mm Marzocchi inverted fork with 120mm of wheel travel and twin Marzocchi shock absorbers at the rear with 116mm of wheel travel with external reservoirs and preload adjustability. The Speed Twin 1200 RS gets the same fork as the standard bike, but the rear uses a pair of Ohlins rear shock absorbers with external reservoirs, adjustable for pre-load, compression and rebound damping with 123mm of wheel travel.
Front suspension in the TFC variant comes with more premium Öhlins 43 mm upside-down forks, adjustable for pre-load, compression and rebound damping, with 120 mm wheel travel. And the rear suspension includes Öhlins twin with external reservoirs, adjustable for pre-load, compression and rebound damping, with 3mm more wheel travel than the front.
The bike sits on 17-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels with 120-section front and 160-section rear tyres. It gets twin 320mm front discs and a single 220mm rear disc brake with dual channel ABS as standard and also gets cornering ABS and traction control. Front brakes in the TFC variant has more premium Brembo Stylema M4.30 radial calipers working alongside a Brembo MCS lever. Whereas, the rear brake includes a single, 220 mm fixed disc with Nissin 2-piston floating caliper.
The Speed Twin 1200 series gets an all-LED lighting setup with DRLs, golden-coloured inverted fork, chrome headlight details, a tear-drop shaped fuel tank, brushed stainless steel twin upswept megaphone exhausts and a single-piece bench seat. The bike also gets a LCD instrument cluster with an integrated colour TFT screen. On the other hand, the bike’s TFC variant gets Type-C USB charging port. In addition to this, there’s a gold finish on the lower arm of the fork, along with a gold pinstripe on the fuel tank. It also gets a TFC emblem along with the edition number on the top yoke of the fork, and carbonfibre front and rear fenders.
The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 series gets low handlebar kit, heated grips, cruise control kit, TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), connectivity module and scrolling indicators as optional features. The bikes also get clip-on handlebars, quilted seats and a seat cowl as accessories.
The Speed Twin 1200 range builds on the same retro-modern silhouette, complete with a rounded tank, and classic paint schemes. Even though it has a modern liquid-cooled engine, it features fins to imitate the looks of an air-cooled motorcycle.
Each variant has its own layer of detail. The base model keeps things clean and minimalist, while the RS sharpens the stance with sportier trim, complete with gold-finished fork. On the other hand, the range-topping TFC comes with Öhlins suspension, carbon fiber bodywork, and Akrapovič silencers for a more exclusive, high-performance finish.
The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 series is powered by a 1200cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin SOHC engine. The bike produces 105PS and 112Nm and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter and a slip-and-assist clutch. While the standard and RS models get stock exhausts, the TFC comes with Akrapovič silencers with carbon tips.
The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 doesn’t have any direct rivals in India. Other alternatives you can check out are the Harley Davidson Sportster S and Kawasaki Z900RS.
