Harley Davidson Sportster S Summary
Harley-Davidson has updated its bike portfolio in India for 2023, and some of the bikes’ prices are quite hefty.
It is priced at Rs 18,79,000, making it the most expensive in H-D’s Sportster range.
It is powered by a 1,252cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin Revolution Max 1250T engine, which is tuned for better low-end performance. It churns out 122. 3PS and 125Nm, which is almost 30PS and 3Nm less than what the same motor makes in the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250. The engine is enhanced with several electronic aids such as four riding modes, three-level cornering traction control system, cornering ABS, and engine brake control. The power unit works in conjunction with a six-speed transmission with a slipper clutch.
The bike employs a 43mm upside down front fork and a linked rear monoshock, both fully adjustable units from Showa. Braking is via a Brembo radial caliper clamping on the 320mm front disc, and there’s a 260mm rear disc as well. The only alternative in its segment will be the Indian FTR 1200.
